Red Ridge is truly a Texas wedding venue with “old world charm”. Perched atop an 8 acre ridge of natural stone formations and nestled among the oaks, pines, junipers and other native foliage adjacent to Buescher State Park in Bastrop County, Red Ridge overlooks a valley vista carved by the Colorado River winding along the Texas Independence Trail. With a commanding view of the Texas sky, glorious sunsets, and star studded evenings, Red Ridge is an ideally romantic setting for your wedding,reception, and special event.
At first glimpse upon arrival to our elevated location, the feel of what we like to refer to as "Texas/Tuscan " design will be obvious with the stone veneer and arches, wall fountain, iron work, and wooden arched grand entry doors. When entering the grand hall, the warm glow from stained floors mimicking the exterior terrain, the 26’ tall vaulted and trussed ceiling supported on stone columns, the grand fireplace with a rustic native cedar mantel and the iron stair railings leading to the brides room and balcony, will enhance the feeling of “old world charm”. Continuing thru and out to the exterior patio with a multi-level seating and fountain area, the vistas of the western sky bordered by the distant ridge are the backdrop that complete this romantic setting.
